Adrian and I have had a bunch of ideas so far in planning for this trip, just wanted to consolidate & share some of those ideas here:
1. Should read / follow blogs of people who have done this kind of trip before

3. 4. Get a bad ass water proof HD camcorder / camera (http://sanyo.com/xacti/english/products/vpc_ca100/index.html)
5. Get a netbook, seems like a pretty solid idea, think it will come in use for looking stuff up on the go (hostels, restaurants, activities, etc), we can use skype on the netbook to make calls, we can also use it to upload photos / vids from the camera, cnet says this is a good one... http://reviews.cnet.com/laptops/asus-eee-pc-1018pb/4505-3121_7-34121925.html?tag=contentMain;contentBody
